‘Destiny’ as one may call it. Every individual is born with a fate. We never know when exactly we take birth nor do we know the exact time of our death. We do not decide who our parents will be, what will be our cast, creed, country etc. Looks like everything is preplanned. We are all here to do what we are all here to do. It’s written…
7th September 2009 was an interesting turn in my life. I met the one I was destined to meet. I was curious. I was nervous. I was shy. Lots of questions, assumptions, and prejudices were flooding my brain. My heart was beating slow, cautious enough not to miss any beat. And… And then I saw her. She carried herself like a princess. In a dark colored suit, she looked like a fairy. Glowing face with smooth skin and sparkling eyes! Charming, she was. Her nature was friendly, lots of warmth, affection, and care. She tilted her head and greeted me with a smile. That was enough to make me fall for her. But I checked myself to stay calm, focused, and to face the event smoothly.
I wondered if we knew each other before. We talked. And we spoke to each other like old friends meeting after long. I was very comfortable, no use of any persona. I was just myself. 100% honest, 100% truthful and 100% me! I guess it’s her sweetness and warmth that did the trick. We were talking to each other frankly. Our thoughts matched to a great extent. Though our interest areas were not common, we were respectful for each other’s likes and dislikes. I started getting attracted to her. It was not merely attraction, it was not infatuation, it was….. I don’t know. But it was a never before feeling. I liked her. I liked her a lot but couldn’t express as I was not sure if we shared the same feeling. We took each other’s leave on a positive note and while leaving, I proved that men (like me) are dumb. I didn’t take her phone number and e-mail. Just said ‘bye’.
While driving back home, the only prayer to God was to make her feel the same for me. I never pray/ask Him for anything but that day, I admit, I turned selfish for some time. I didn’t want to lose her and couldn’t tell anyone what was going in my head. In the evening it was communicated through our parents that both of us like each other and this alliance can go to next levels. I mentally jumped of joy. My prayers were heard. I am soon going to get the girl who exactly fits the frame I created for my life partner over several years the one whom I had only thought of. My imaginations got life this day. She was the one whom I wanted to be my better, or rather the best half.
Things will get finalized soon. Today, I feel like being on the seventh cloud. I feel like the luckiest and the happiest man on earth. My joy and my excitement are far more than a person standing with Amitabh Bacchan and ten million rupees check in his hand. When my sisters and friends tease me, I feel being special, I feel being very lucky, I blush. The more they compliment her photo, the more proud I feel. The joy of winning a 100cr lottery also looks smaller than how I am feeling right now.
She is all over my mind and heart, and I sit here today without talking to her, without sharing my feeling with her. Waiting… Waiting for things to take shape soon and the ball to start rolling.
I am supremely excited to see what lies in future. If it is really written, I am eager to read all the chapters where we are together…
This is a start of a new beginning…

Wonder while Wandering...
Learning is an ongoing process... We start learning from the very first breath and continue to do so till the last. Since childhood we learn many things, mostly through observations. In-fact the basis of our learning is observations. Newton observed falling apple and discovered Gravity, Benjamin observed lightning and discovered electricity... If we follow the biographies of eminent personalities, we see that 'Desharatan' (going around the country/world) as one of the important steps on their way to greatness. Mahatma Gandhi did a nationwide tour before actively devoting himself for the cause of independence. We read that Samarth Ramdas Swami also walked all the way from Maharashtra to Kashmir, visiting all the religious places and came back to Maharashtra with learning for his followers. As a matter of fact, Desharatan used to be a compulsory activity during the Gurukul days. Today we call it field trips. Many marketing companies make field work a compulsory program as a training and induction process. The underlying principle remains the same: face, observe, experience and learn.
I have been to almost all the states of India now and learnt that this fascinating country has a lot to offer to humanity. Inspite of the disparities like caste, language, customs, etc. this country runs on the fundamental humanitarian principles like brotherhood, love, respect for each other, and empathy. Our ways can be different but the art of leading a healthy and respectful life is the same. Some saints also reveal this realization of oneness among all Indians. The Hindus use "Om" while worshiping, the Muslims say 'Allah "O" Akbar', the Christians say '"O" Lord' and alike. The roots of our very existence take us to the same originating source whom we worship. No other country can be a best example of this other than India.
Though the mannerism at different places in India appears different, the fact remains that customs are so designed to help humans towards healthy and respectful life. The northern parts of India eat food with more proteins whereas people in the southern and coastal regions take more carbohydrates. Observing scientifically, the meals and eating habits suggest that the customs have been adopted to suit the climatic conditions of the places thus facilitating healthy living. There are differences in traditional dressing also, where again the environment plays a deciding role. Still there are similarities to be seen. Every culture professes some kind of turban or cloth on the head which prevents direct exposure of the head to sunlight. The science today tells us that sunlight falling directly on the head is not good for skull, hairs and memory. But all the cultures in India knew this since ages and have cultivated the habit of wearing turban, cap etc. on head.
Indians, be in any part of the country, are adaptive as well. They try to learn from all possible ways and imbibe the learning in day to day life. As a simple example, all of us are aware of stories from Panchatantra, stories of Vikram and Vetal, and historically the most recent ones that give similar teachings in a secular manner, stories of Akbar and Birbal. Knowingly or unknowingly we adopt the teachings from our surroundings and better our lives. One can see this not just in any particular state but throughout the country.
Happy Indians - By and large, Indians are happier people. Go to any part of India, you will find satisfied people, contended people, God loving people, and people who truly know and imbibe Indian values in their lives.
The more I wander around India, the more I wonder:

- I wonder how well the humanitarian values have been imbibed by all the 100 million people in the era where many large organizations struggle to have common values and communicate the same throughout the organization
- I wonder how this land of diversities set example for such a huge integrity
- I wonder how can people through different mannerism aim at the similar goal of leading a healthy and respectful life
- I wonder how, even after such vast disparities, it's the Love and Peace that prevails...
The more I Wander... the more I WONDER...

Beyond words… beyond speech… where only the hearts interact… Such Is The Mystical Language Of LOVE…
- Watch a baby interacting with the mother...
- Watch two friends understanding each other without speaking…
- Watch lovers interacting (only eyes and smiles are enough)…
- Observe a devotee praising God just looking at the sky…
- Look at flowers dancing at the tune of wind…
- Watch elephants bathing in lake…
- Smile back at a baby smiling at you…
.
.
.
And you will start understanding the language…
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Hasn’t your heart started interacting yet...? Know the language… and feel the magic…

Losing… A way of Life…
Sounds very obvious and natural when we say that we like ‘Winning’. Winning, no doubt is the best intoxication known to man. What we need to understand at times is weather this intoxication is the only way of pleasure and happiness or there is more to life. We desire for something and keep running to get the desired. If we get it, we call ourselves ‘Winners’. For some people winning remains a dream but they keep running religiously. And while their eyes are fixed at their goal, they miss to witness the happy moments they have had while losing in life. As I go with my way of experimentation in life, from a particular point of view I see a person to be the happiest when he is losing…
Let’s go through the entire cycle of life and see if we have actually lost anything while losing. A child keeps nagging, desiring something which is bad for him while his mother restricts him from having that. His mother’s restrictions are in the best interest of the child. He may only think himself as a looser by not having the desired thing but actually he is receiving all the love, affection and care inherent in his mother’s restrictions. The child might have not got the desired at that time but the love, affection and care received is unmatched.
The child grows up to a teenager. The teenager desires to be standing out of everyone, in his class and his friends. Let’s say the teenager desires for a costly bike or a costly dress that makes him stand out of rest of his friends. By not having it he may feel that he is losing something in life but in reality, he had friends, many of whom were with him because he was not standing out from them and was like them in various ways. Here he had friends who were with him because he was simply as they were. And all of us know and have always enjoyed and remembered the days that we spent with friends. Did he lose anything if he had friends with him and not the costly bike?
Say the teenager now grows to upper teens. Knowing or unknowingly for the first time he is actually enjoying ‘losing’. He loses his heart to someone special. The feeling cannot be explained. Just the realization of having lost the heart, having someone special or being special to someone makes one feel to be on the seventh cloud. This is a time when a person partially understands love. That is a time when he is not bothered about the gains or returns and never minds ‘losing’. This is followed by a stage in life where he enters adulthood. This is where he loses his virginity (in all good senses). This is a remarkable and never before experience of his life. Of course, the pleasure derived varies for individuals but the experience indeed is liked by all and is cherished for lifetime through one’s sweet memories.
As a father, losing to one’s child comes naturally. Every father takes pride in seeing his children outperforming him. And why only a father, how many of us have not lost to a child for a single innocent smile? It’s wonderful, natural and full of love. In such cases we don’t even mind losing for such innocent, sweet and blissful smile that reaches directly our hearts.
Having catered to all the responsibilities in life the man goes to God realized saints for the ultimate wisdom. To understand the pure love, to understand who he is, to know God, he loses his ego on the feet of God realized saints. He loses himself completely to feel the oneness with God, to be with God… Ultimately he loses everything and becomes everything. He, who enjoyed life without much botheration for winning gives up his body happily at the appointed time. He may not have lived the winning way but has surely experienced love even while losing. Losing the life is a child’s play for him as he has already lost everything to God and has become everything himself.
The thought here does not encourage us to run away from our duties and difficult times but only leads us to a higher platform of thoughts where we do not miss the enjoyment and pleasures of life in any situation. It is advised to one and all, to look back in life at all the instances where we have lost. We will only find that we have bounced back with more energy, with more enthusiasm and have got real friends in such times. The true love is experienced only by means of losing everything at God’s feet. As soon as we realize His oneness, we will not play for winning only and then we will enjoy the true spirit of the game called ‘LIFE’.
